III.Overview Of The Topic (Iintroduction)
Environmental problems causes a bad impacts on human health and resources. Not only humans are affected with the problems .We must also consider all creatures living on earth. We can’t deny the fact that wildlife are suffering because of us. Humans contributed major amount causing  species extinctions.  We must face it. We must do our part to help our environment for a good living.
As a students concerning our environment, we have done an activity  In making  way to reduce waste material in our environment,we have done simple waste management. Waste management is a process of collecting, segragating  and transporting wastes for proper disposal. It help reduce bad effects to human health and enviroment. It also help alleviate the consumption of resources by recycling. A simple deed but meaningful act.
IV. OBJECTIVES
-Upon successful completion of this Waste Management Activity:
People of the community must realize that our environment need help;
People of the community must take obligation and be responsible in making our environment clean and green.
V. Significance Of The Activity:
Properly disposing of waste is not just a personal responsibility; some kinds of waste, usually hazardous, must be properly disposed of according to law set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency. Toxic waste can seep into the ground and contaminate our water supplies, and sometimes cause widespread disease. Even non-toxic waste causes pollution that contributes to global warming and a general negative impact on the public health. EPA studies suggest that global warming could make earth almost inhospitable by the end of the century.Indeed we must take action.
VI. METHODOLOGY
Our Professor  Mrs  Ava  Clare Marie o. Robles PH.D.told us that we will have project based-learning.We need to make history, basically our subject  is History and Philosophy Of Science.First we had our concept.
Waste management concepts

Diagram of the waste hierarchy.
There are a number of concepts about waste management which vary in their usage between countries or regions. Some of the most general, widely used concepts include:
§  Waste hierarchy - The waste hierarchy refers to the "3 Rs" reducereuse andrecycle, which classify waste management strategies according to their desirability in terms of waste minimization. The waste hierarchy remains the cornerstone of most waste minimization strategies. The aim of the waste hierarchy is to extract the maximum practical benefits from products and to generate the minimum amount of waste see: resource recovery.
§  Polluter pays principle - the Polluter Pays Principle is a principle where the polluting party pays for the impact caused to the environment. With respect to waste management, this generally refers to the requirement for a waste generator to pay for appropriate disposal of the waste.

Second, our group decided to go to 39.2 ,Barangay Fatima General Santos City and gather ourmaterials, sacks, brooms, trash cans, rakes.       it was on  March 14 2011.
Third,we talked with the purok chairman that  we would like to render community service.Simultaneously, the Purok Chairman welcomed as and guide us in their respective place. He lead us to the purok hall and park.

As soon as we arrived at the area , we saw amp of trashes and bottles at the corner. Some bottles are broken that can cause accidents, especially for children  playing in the area.
Cellophanes were everywhere at the park, butt of cigarettes and leaves of trees planted at the hall, are mostly seen.

The people in this place do not know how to manage their  waste properly, they might don’t know and that waste materials are one of the main contributors of flood, global warming and other worst scenario.
After the dessimination of the information .We went to the battlefield then we sweep and clean the area. We segregated waste materials, the biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials.  We also recycle plastics and bottles. We disposed the waste properly.

Finally, mission accomplished ,everybody in the team were tired but joyfully smiling for a job well done.
VIII. CONCLUSION
Therefore, in the above findings, we can take actions helping our environment. The improper waste management and its increasing percentage of waste materials make a great effect in our environment and society. We must manage our waste properly and orderly.
Waste materials that are organic in nature, such as plant material, food scraps, and paper products, can be recycled using biological composting and digestion processes to decompose the organic matter. The resulting organic material is then recycled as mulch orcompost for agricultural or landscaping purposes. In addition, waste gas from the process (such as methane) can be captured and used for generating electricity and heat (CHP/cogeneration) maximising efficiencies. The intention of biological processing in waste management is to control and accelerate the natural process of decomposition of organic matter.
Waste material can really mean business. We shall take care all the things around us. Our creator made our environment for us, so we shall love and care our mother earth for our future survival...
XI.Trivia
  • Making steel from recycled materials saves three-quarters of the energy needed to make the same product from new.
  • Recycled aluminium products use only one-twentieth of the energy required to make them from the original bauxite ore.
  • Recycling glass saves the equivalent of 30 gallons of oil per tonne – and the consequent carbon emission too!
  • According to the aluminium industry, some 20,000 tonnes of foil is wasted annually – that’s a whopping £8 million-worth of aluminium just ending up in the bin!
  • Each Christmas sees enough wrapping paper thrown away to cover the island of Guernsey.
By the time a child is toilet trained, he or she may have gone through almost 5,000 nappies!
In 2003, the energy saved by recycling glass could have launched 10 of NASA’s space shuttle missions! You just couldn’t make this stuff up!
Over 2.5 million tonnes of green waste each year is treated at centralised composting facilities.
